Malawians in Aberdeen

Aims of the Association

The Malawians in Aberdeen Association (MIA) has the following objectives:
  • To enhance social intercourse and networking among Malawians in the North East of Scotland thereby reducing social isolation.
  • To promote information sharing, enhance cultural understanding and learning between Malawi and Scotland.
  • To contribute to development initiatives in Malawi through various programmes.
  • To work in collaboration with various agencies, diaspora organisations involved with charity work in Malawi and Scotland.
Recently we got funding from Scottish executive for capacity building.
